Effective date: July 28, 2026
MG LAW (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when authorized employees and other users use the MG LAW Mobile App on Android or iOS (the “App”).
1. Information We Collect
- Account and employee information: name, work email, employee identifier, role, permissions, and authentication information.
- Case and expense information: client and case references, expense details, amounts, dates, categories, descriptions, approval activity, comments, and related business records.
- Receipts and attachments: receipt photographs and files that you choose to capture or attach to an expense.
- App and diagnostic information: app version, operating system, technical logs, crash information, and limited interaction data needed to diagnose errors and protect the App.
The App does not request access to your device’s GPS location. A location written in an expense record is business information entered or selected as part of that record, not continuous device-location tracking.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Authenticate users and manage secure sessions and permissions.
- Create, submit, review, approve, and report on expenses and cases.
- Upload and associate receipts with the relevant expense.
- Provide cash-advance, budget, approval, and work-related notifications.
- Maintain security, prevent misuse, troubleshoot, and improve reliability.
- Meet legal, accounting, audit, and organizational requirements.
3. Device Permissions
- Camera and photos: used only when you choose to capture or select a receipt or other permitted attachment.
- Notifications: used to deliver relevant updates and reminders where enabled.
- Biometrics: optional fingerprint, Face ID, or other device authentication may be used to unlock saved sign-in credentials. The App does not receive or store your biometric template.
- Network access: used to communicate securely with MG LAW services and upload records you submit.
You can manage optional permissions in your device settings.
4. Local Storage and Security
Authentication tokens and, when you enable biometric sign-in, saved credentials are protected using the secure storage provided by your device. The App may also retain draft expense data and receipt files locally so your work can be completed or synchronized. We use technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted network connections and access controls, to protect information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell or rent personal information. Information may be shared:
- Within MG LAW and with authorized clients or personnel when needed for case, expense, approval, accounting, audit, or administrative functions.
- With service providers that support hosting, file storage, authentication, notifications, security, and crash diagnostics, subject to appropriate safeguards.
- When required by law, legal process, or to protect legal rights, safety, and security.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the App, maintain business and legal records, comply with applicable obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by record type and organizational requirements. Local App data may remain until it is synchronized, deleted, you sign out, or the App is removed.
7. Your Choices and Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or object to certain processing. Because the App is provided for authorized work use, some requests may need to be coordinated with your employer or MG LAW administration. You may also disable notifications or biometric sign-in through the App or device settings.
8. Account Deletion
To request deletion of your App account and associated personal information, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify your identity and may retain records where required for legal, accounting, audit, case-management, or legitimate business purposes.
9. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for authorized professional and business use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, our practices, or applicable requirements. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
